*c.1934 REG HOLMES JAZZ PROMO CARDS + VINTAGE JAZZ PHOTO LOT – TED FLO RITO*

Description

Up for auction are three vintage jazz big band photos plus two promotional cards pertaining to composer and bandleader Ted Flo Rito (1900-1971), Reg Holmes, plus others.
First is a vintage circa-1940s jazz big band photo of composer and band leader Ted Fio Rito (1900-1971).
Photo is in very good condition with some closed edge tears, vintage tape residue along with some handling and the autograph dealer’s authenticity hologram sticker on the reverse side.
Measures h-8 x w-10 inches.
Second, are two promotional cards for Gloucester-based

jazz band fronted by Reg Holmes, circa 1933-34.
First is a greeting card for the band with the mailing address and greeting, the second is a promo card displaying the band’s new address and contact information.
Both cards are in very good condition with some glue residue on the reverse side from photo album pages.
Third, are two vintage band photos:
Royal Air Force Regiment (as identified on the reverse side) no date, circa-1943.
Measures h-3 ¼ x w-5 ¼ inches; very good condition with wear.
The second is a glossy vintage photo of Don Carlos and His Rumba Band (as identified on the reverse side) no date, circa 1930s.
Measures h-3 1/8 x w-4 5/8 inches; excellent condition with tape residue and writing on reverse side.
