This is a vintage Springbok jigsaw puzzle, app. 20 x 22 9/16 inches in size when assembled. It is "Andrew Hicks on Hatteras Ground" by Frank Vining Smith (400PZL2052) with over 500 pieces. Bottom of box has a short history on the ship and the painting. Puzzle is easy to reassemble - it is put together (not glued) and separated into 4 parts so they fit in the box (
