Vintage Concert Zither
1800's  Zither
Beautiful hand-inlayed mother of pearl,  Zither most likely made of rosewood in Germany circa late 1800's.
Hand painted king and queen shown in loving repose alongside swans.
Previously owned by a concert harpist. This piece was her pride and joy.
This beautiful instrument is in excellent, well cared for, condition.
Has been tuned and is ready to play.  Very unique piece. Original hard case lined in royal blue fabric...along with tuning keys,  included.
tension adjusters appear to be bone or ivory.
There is no name on this zither.  od research means anything,  it seems to be made to the style of Franz Shwarzer.
