ORIGINAL CASH REGISTER CAST IRON SOLID TOP

Description

This is an original Cash Register top plate. It is copper plated cast iron. It will fit on a model 2 National cash register as the hole spacing and top sign hole spacing are the same as the brass/bronze ones but I don't know specifically what it is made to fit. It does have "#2 top" cast into it. I got this 20+ years ago from a seller in Canada. I'm thinking it might be for a Hamilton cash register but I am not sure of that.
It is 16 1/8" wide and 2 1/2" front to back for the outside dimensions and 15 3/8" by 1 3/4" for the inside dimensions. The mounting hole spacing is 14 7/8" center to center and the topsign mounting holes are 14 3/4" center to center. It weighs 1.2 pound.
