Heathkit Resistance Substitution Box RS-1 Clean! Orig. Nice Condition! (1950s)

Description

Up for auction is a vintage Heathkit Resistance Substitution Box, RS-1.  Its clean and original. While the RS-1 is in generally good condition, see photos, you can see that in the corners where the screws are located, there is a chip in three of the four corners.  While slight and there is no impact to operation.  There are also visible in the photos, some scratches on the sides and back, but none are severe.
While this is a vintage product
and is offered with no statement that is in full working order,
I did test a few of the settings on both low and high and they worked.  One reading out of 5 was off by more than 10%, but the rest of the testing was within 10% using a Fluke 117.  I did not test all of the resistance settings.  This is basically a box full of resistors, which tend to be stable for quite a while.  While its cramped inside the box, any out of tolerance resistor can be easily replaced by someone with the right experience.  If you are merely looking for additional vintage test equipment to add to your collection, this would be a great buy!
