A small Egyptian .900 silver ewer.
A chased silver ewer from Egypt. This small pitcher bears silver hallmarks for fineness of .900 silver. There are at least 4 surfaces with hallmarks: front lip, handle, side of base and underside of base.  The bottom mark shows the lotus flower for Cairo.
Measures a bit over 3-1/2" tall.  Weight is 70.6 grams. Feels quite hefty for its size.  No weighting.  Again this is just under the .925 sterling standard at .900, the top Egyptian silver grade, so it would assay
at least
.900 fine. Nice used condition with no denting.
