We are manufacturer of this tool and knows it well.

Other manufacturers would take away some of the chips  (As PCB VS pic shows ), so as to cut the cost. Yet as a result , some protocols would be missing making it can't supports certain vehicles.

We sell the interface and adatpers mainly，The included software in CD is more like a gift ,since it's relatively old version.

If you have updated working software ,that would be better .
If you install the included cummins insite software in disc
( Windows 7 required) ,
first need to change your Laptop time back to 2014 . Otherwise ,it will not work .
We got few customers' feedback .Somtimes PC anti-virus software would mistakenly detect it as virus and stop installing . in this case just close the anti-virus soft .
