Completed JCA Needlepoint Wool Christmas Stocking SLED RIDE Bears WAYNE - New

Up for auction is a completed and finished needlepoint Christmas Stocking. It is just charming!  It shows 3 bears riding in a toboggan going down the hill. The little bears are so cute. One is even hiding his eyes.  At the top it reads WAYNE.  If you know needlepoint, you might be able to remove it and refill in the area with needlepoint stitches. You could also take a strip of fabric and needlepoint it with a different name and sew it on top of the other lettering.
There is a label on the inside indicating that this was kit #06847 and the title was TOGOGGAN RIDE and that it was the original hand crafted photo model that went onto the kit packages. This was from the JCA Needle Treasures collection design by Red Farm Studio.
Included in this listing is a picture of the kit for this stocking which is shown for refernce only as this item does not come with a kit.
It measures 16 x 9 1/2. It is lined with white fabric. The back has red felt and there is red piping around the outside. As this was then used as a store model, there is still velcro on the back which should be easily removed as it just peels off.

hese were hand made sales models to a needpoint kit which would have been on display in a store to show the prospective buyers how the item will look when finished.
I  learned recently that the name on many of these finished pieces identified the company as JCA Inc. with an address in Massachusettes. They evidently ceased operations and will not be making/distributing anymore needlecraft kits. These finished piece from kits are already hard to find and will only be offered occasionally perhaps on the internet. Per the JCA website:
