    Betty Reilly (1918-1982)
    a blonde, statuesque Mexican-born nightclub singer/dancer/actress of part Spanish heritage who
    sang with Xavier Cugat and His Orchestra in the 1940s
    . Her rhythmic movements were ideally suited for rumba bands and was a specialty performer with Cugat in a couple of post-war films.
    She was a popular club singer here and abroad, including Las Vegas (The Flamingo), New York (Vagabonds) and London (Astor). She opened her own nightclub in Waikiki in the late 1950s.
