The Royal Australian Mint's (RAM) Australia's Most Dangerous series is an homage to the most feared creatures in the Australian region. The fourth release of the series is dedicated to the most venomous marine animal, the Australian Box Jellyfish, whose poisonous sting can result in paralysis, cardiac arrest, and even death within minutes.
This 2023 Australian Box Jellyfish coin contains 1 Troy oz. of .999 fine silver.
The fascinating imagery of the coin is enhanced by an exquisite brilliant uncirculated finish.
The coin is the fourth release of the RAM's Australia's Most Dangerous Series.
The coin is issued as legal tender of Australia, with a face value of one dollar.
The silver dollar coin measures 40 mm in diameter.
Mintage is limited to only 25,000 pieces.
Enchanting Australian Box Jellyfish Design
Obverse: The obverse is graced with the fifth and final definitive coinage portrait of Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. The monarch is posed facing right, wearing the famed Royal Diamond Diadem created for King George IV in 1820. Surrounding inscriptions include "ELIZABETH II," "AUSTRALIA," "2023" and "1 DOLLAR." The effigy was designed in 2015 by award-winning British sculptor Jody Clark.
Reverse: A swarm of five Australian Box Jellyfish is depicted on the reverse, casually floating across the surface of the coin. Each features the creature's distinctive box-shaped bell, with an array of long tentacles trailing behind in a deceptively elegant manner. "AUSTRALIAN" is inscribed vertically beside "BOX JELLYFISH" in the midst of the swimming gelatinous forms, with "1 OZ .999 SILVER" curving above the underwater scene.

All documents and bonus items included with the product must also be returned. If the product is not returned with all original packaging and bonus items, is incomplete, or is returned after the 30-day return period, the Company reserves the right not to accept the return or to accept the return subject to a 20% restocking fee, in the Company's sole discretion. All returns with a purchase price over 0 must include a Return Authorization Number.
