Description
This attractive George III sterling silver mustard pot with armorial engraving on the lid and pierce work thumb rest bears the marks for Henry Chawner, London 1810 and is in nice usable condition. Measuring 2 1/8" tall (add 5/8" for thumb rest) x 2 1/4" diameter x 3" (with handle) it weighs just over three troy ounces (including spoon) and shows many repairs and signs of use wear. The rampant lion armorial on the lid is all but worn away and there are silver solder repairs to the bottom and handle. It retains a period blown cobalt glass insert with old cement repair and comes with a `sweet spoon (Richard Crossley, london 1787) with dragon or eagle armorial.WE ARE ALWAYS HAPPY TO SHIP WORLDWIDE IF ALLOWED BY USPS.
