Antique Brass or Nickel National Cash Register #349 1906 Working 2 Rows Keys VG
Antique Brass or Nickel National Cash Register #349 1906 Working 2 Rows Keys VG
Here is an old National Cash register.  It's brass color, not sure if brass or nickel or if just painted brass color.   Works great.   All keys work, the drawer moves freely in and out when key pressed.  Very clean, very heavy, it does sit on an oak wood base and has a Vitrolite tray or top just under the keys.  There is a small chip on the front edge on the underside of the Vitrolite plate.  It has 2 rows of keys, it has 27 keys in all and they all work.  The register is 17 1/2" wide x 16 1/2" x 17" tall.  The front lid does lift up and there is some kind of counter in there, not sure if it works or not.  It also has a side compartment that might have held a paper tape of some sort, but I don't know.  It still rings when you press the keys and the amount signs pop up in the glass viewing area without any issues.  This has a patent date of 1906 and appears to be a model #349, which someone posted it's around 1913 or so.  This is a nice machine.  It would need to be picked up.  We are in Western Maryland, an hour west from Cumberland, Md, or/and an hour east of Morgantown Wv in the Deep Creek Lake area, about 2 hours south of Pittsburgh and 3 hours from Wash. DC.  It's a nice drive up this way if you need a get away.
