Antique 1600's  Gold, Silver & Diamonds  Brooch / Pin Constantinople Made
For your consideration is a very early jewelry piece from the Ottoman Empire
A brooch or pin for clothing or hair embellishment
Made of high grade silver with attached golden petal details and 13 encrusted small diamonds
Foliage design
Very fine goldsmith work, possibly made in Constantinople
Double needle piece at the back for attaching it
Circa 17th century, Ottoman Turkey. Consignor stated that it has been in their family "for ever", known as the "Sultan's pin"
Very unique and rare
All original
Measurements:
Approx. 57mm x 40mm or 2.5" x 1 9/16 "
Weighs about  20 gr. - 3/4 oz.

Good overall.

It shows minor wear consistent with age and normal use. The needles on the back have been reinforced with wire at some point back in the centuries, for unknown reason. A small chunk of the foliage (bottom left) is now lost
