    Description

    A late 19th century Whitehead & Hoag pinback commemorating the sloop Mayflower's 1886 America's Cup victory.  The printing(all clear and readable) to the front of the pinback reads, "Winner Of America's Cup  Mayflower 1886".  The colortion to the front has a mottled appearance; we believe this is original to the piece, but we are not certain of that.  The Whitehead & Hoag/American Pepsin Gum Co. back paper insert is very dark and a little worn, but is mostly readable under a good light.  No rust that we find.  Please review the preceding condition description box and photo gallery.
