This 2021 Palau 1oz Antique Silver UHR Finish Scarab Shaped King Tut coin is graded a perfect MS70 by PCGS and is a First Day of Issue. This coin comes with a themed box and Certificate of Authenticity. The total mintage of this coin is only 1500 world-wide.
This amazing 1oz antique silver ultra high relief finish scarab shaped coin combines the symbol of the scarab beetle along with one of the most famous Pharaohs ever, Tutankhamun. The 100th anniversary of the opening of Tutankhamun's tomb is celebrated in 2022.
In ancient Egyptian religion, the scarab was also a symbol of immortality, resurrection, transformation and protection much used in funeral art. Over the ages, scarabs have been used to symbolize wealth, as currency, fashion accessory and also to serve as a form of artistic expression.
The reverse features the two names of Tutankhamun in hieroglyphene style - his own individual name, and his title as a Pharaoh which was also found on his throne when it was discovered 100 years ago. It also contains the year "2021" and a Swarovski crystal in the center
In ancient Egyptian religion, the god Ra whose eye is also depicted on the obverse together with the Ankh or Key of Life, rolls the sun across the sky each day, transforming bodies and souls. The obverse also features the Republic of Palau Coat of Arms
