"MAMMY YOKUM" BOBBLE HEAD NODDER
- (c) 1975 Capp Enterprises, Inc. 2.5" x 8". Hand-painted composition.
Great bobbing-head figural "bobs" well with original spring still attached.
Original paper label remains on base front (probably sold at the now-defunct Dogpatch USA theme park). Mammy was a key character in the "Li'l Abner" comic strip created by cartoonist Al Capp.
Superior character likeness with excellent eye appeal.
Condition is considered GOOD to FAIR with moderate surface/stain/edge wear. Scattered spot paint chipping with a 1/4" compo chip on lower side of head opening under pipe. Moderate black paint retouching at lower hat corner areas with an approx. 7/8" hairline crack at lower hat by pipe. No other ceramic breaks or repairs apparent. Paint still bright and attractive.
Overall, we feel this item is in very displayable condition by most standards (see photos).
