1959 Porsche 356A Speedster Replica // 2.0L Porsche 912E Flat 4 Powered
The video was made by the Hot Rod Ranch out of Florida which is who I bought this car from a year ago.
This listing was posted in early December, and I accepted someone's offer which automatically ended the auction. Then the buyer never responded to any messages over the following week. So, I had to relist due to that dipshit.
This is a replica of a 1959 Porsche 356A Speedster.
I paid K plus shipping to get it to Texas; as you can see from the pic of the Bill of Sale. The best and most rare thing about this car is that it has an actual Porsche motor. As you know, most replicas have Volkswagen or Subaru motors. This 356's engine came from a 1976 Porsche 912E. How cool is that? You will likely not find a replica with a Porsche motor anywhere. Most all the paperwork on the build of this car is documented in a large binder as seen in one of the pics. The only thing I changed on the car were the wheels. It used to have ugly VW wheels (the ones in the youtube video), and I replaced them with chrome baby moon wheels from JBugs.com.... looks so much better. It has a top, but it's still in the box as I've never put it on. I bought this car because it was always my favorite body style of all time. I intended on driving it on the weekends, taking it to car shows, etc.. It's been in my garage for a year and I never even got the thing registered. Every month, I drive it around the neighborhood just to keep things running right. Last week, I drove it about 50 miles around town, and it was awesome.... perfect weather in December for top down cruising here in Texas. I want to keep it, but I bought a Tesla recently and need to pay it off sooner than later, so I guess I'm gotta sell my little 356. If I were going to keep it, there are a few things that I was going to have done. The radio doesn't work, so I was going to have that replaced. Also, the driver door handle needs to be replaced. It's not really a big deal because you just reach in and open it from the inside. But it still needs to be replaced considering how minor of a repair that would be. If you have a ,000 car, you should probably replace the door handle for 50 bucks right?
