An attractive 1866 three cent nickel piece graded MS 64 by NGC. It carries a typical weak strike but is very mark free for the grade level. It also holds a very light tone among both sides.
This coin is among the most common to the series with a high mintage of 4,801,000. However, the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 20,000 of these have survived in all grades today. It is one of only 229 graded Mint State 64 by NGC.
