1865 3 Cent Nickel. Shipped with USPS First Class. A nice 156 year slightly lower mid-grade coin. The coin exhibits a nice CUD/Cracked Die at 2 o’clock on the reverse. This CUD is unusual as the die piece was still loosely in place on the anvil die when struck. This coin was struck the first year of production for this type coin and the last year of the civil war. Rims are complete with distinct denticles. About 50% of the lines are visible on the III.
